Dr. Cribbet is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at The University of Alabama. His work is highly interdisciplinary, as he employs theory and methods from clinical psychology, health psychology and sleep science to understand how poor sleep, stress and emotion dysregulation are associated with cardiovascular disease risk. He studies these risk factors for cardiovascular disease among individuals and within the context of close relationships such as marriage. He is also interested in understanding the mechanisms linking early life adverse experiences such as abuse and neglect to physical health. Dr. Cribbet serves as an associate editor for the journal Behavioral Medicine.

Dr. Cribbet is accepting graduate students for the 2021 application cycle.
